Joshua 1:9

"Be Strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God is with you where ever you go."

Wow.. this little man of ours is 3 months yesterday. We also got him dedicated to the Lord at church! Hence his adorable outfit. (he doesn't dress like this everyday)... My tribe cleans up pretty well if you'd ask me.

When we dedicated Theo, we chose Joshua 1:9 for him.

This world gets scarier and scarier by day, and it is hard to imagine what it is going to be like as we raise this little human.

We are just so thankful that we don't have to do it alone. It's a pretty big job.

But God is with us every step of the way. (thank goodness, because we really have no clue what we are doing).

But so far we have made it, and we continue to "make it." By the Grace of God.

One thing that we are constantly reminded is our priorities. Biblically First is God, and then husband and wife and than our children.

I will tell you it is hard sometimes, when you are having a conversation with your spouse and your child is crying, it is so hard sometimes to keep your spouse as the priority in that situation and then attend to your child afterwards.

It is hard to wake up in the morning and get into the word with God when your baby is hungry or has a dirty diaper.

It is hard work.

And we are trying, every single day to have our priorities right. Because if we keep God as number 1, and then our marriage as number 2 all things will work out. It is when we replace God with our spouse, or our child when things fall apart, when exhaustion gets the best of you, arguments with your spouse flood in, and things just don't feel right.

It's only ever going to feel right, when God is at the top, when he is number 1- because then you can be certain that he is leading you.

I know it has been some time since we were last on the blog.

Near the end of my pregnancy and the beginning of navigating this new journey of parenthood we took a break from writing.

A minor case of writers block to be honest.

I was trying to figure out how to be a mom, and learning what in the world it took to keep our little happy and content that I avoided getting back into the things that I love. I was tired.

But now I have woken up!

Excited to continue to blog, and get back into my painting.

Hope you guys enjoy this journey with us!
